I'm struggling to find the words to describe what I'm after here!

I am wondering if there is a product out there that will support a car at a good height for working on/underneath. In F1 (and when we raced Formula Ford) they have these platforms that you put under the car, one at each end, which brings the car up to waist height.

Is there anything on the market similar to this for DIY use on a normal car. The car is a TVR Chimaera, so it's not particularly heavy. Getting the car up to the required height wouldn't be easy I admit, but I'm sure I could work something out.

I'd like to be able to get underneath it and inside the arches to paint the chassis without having to crawl on my back.

Thanks,

Dan

A cheaper alternative...I have some axle stands which raise my car quite high for when I did similar work.

16 a pair on Amazon, Silvertech I think the brand is (the ones who used to sponsor Plato's BTCC Chevvy)

Of course you'll need a high lifting Jack to do that, I have one from Costco which I used for this.

There's a few ramp solutions etc available out there, but they're all prohibitively expensive to use for one job.

Get a decent set of ramps/axle stands.

I've got a decent set of axle stands, just wanted the car a bit higher really.

I need to wire brush the chassis back, which doesn't sound very fun with your nose nearly touching the chassis!
