Our motor club organised a "test day" at Blyton park today it was the most fun I have had with my pants on.
One car on track at a time, a warm up then 2 flying laps then a cool down lap on nice smooth Tarmac, no strict noise limits and just 10 of us using the track so no long waits to get out.
I did something like 50 laps over the day so definitely had my moneys worth.

Sounds like fun, I've been meaning to get to Blyton for a while (since I heard they had a corner called Bunga Bunga)

Surely though a few cars on the track together would have been even better?

It is pretty narrow so IMO it would have been a bit tight with a few cars on track.
Bunga Bunga is a double apex left that tbh the car is on the edge all the way round, it is a case of turn into the first apex then balance the power and the slide all the way round, top of 3rd gear on the way out which was interesting ( my 350 is pulling about 80mph at 6k in 3rd)

Where was my invite Andy?

I would have gone with you on that - especially with no noise restrictions evil

It was organised by huddersfield motor club, we have quite a few hillclimbers/sprinters so they have been a few times. It was fully subscribed but we are thinking of going again this year, if we do I will drop you a line.

Thanks Andy

There is also a similar place at Tockwith but I think they have greater noise restrictions (which is my problem)

It won't be long before your place had restrictions the same I am sure

Cheers

On a Track day (like the javelin ones) he has a 96 dB drive by limit, on these "test Days" he isnt too bothered, there arent really any neighbours unlike the moaning buggers who moved in next to Tockwith and started complaining about the noise
