Writing two Application Forms for the same team...

Hi guys,

I recently put in a letter of interest for a 5 month secondment that has come up within my group. The job is 2 grades above my current one and I have an interview on Wednesday so they must have liked what I have written.

Now there is also another post within the same team which is permanent but only 1 grade above mine. I have been advised that I can apply for both so I have. Now the question is, how much would you change from the original that has already secured you an interview for a higher post? Bearing in mind its the same folks who will read it.

Obviously I can't change what I do but would you try and word it differently?

Say the same stuff that got you the first interview. Add that you would prefer the first job, but would accept the second because you want to work for this team so badly.
