Gemini alarm/locking fob
Discussion
Coinciding with my renewed enthusiasm in terms of getting my 4L back on the road, I am aware I only have the one fob & this was a replacement as I have the invoice in the history from Car & bike Installations ltd. However they seem to gone & I cant find anybody else to supply one of these. Has anybody sourced one recently?
Thanks

Hi, I tried the same a number of years ago. If you're lucky you may find somebody with a second hand one. Then you'll have to take both apart and copy the soldered wire links on your original to the second hand one.
Eventually I purchased a Toad Alarm from eBay for £100 - with the added advantage that I could wire it into my boot solenoid to save turning the ignition on every time I wanted to open it.
If you decide to go this route, let me know, I have some wiring diagrams somewhere.

I had one made for me back in 2010 by Tech-tronics, reasonable price.

Assuming they still do them they will tell you the process for getting the code so they can program the new one - it was silly simple, and they shipped it pretty quickly.

I have now leart that they have gone out of business but followed through some internet links to a company who seem to think they can help & have old stocks of fobs. They wanted me to write to them & did not want to be named on any forums?? Let me see how I get on & if it works out ok, I will let everybody know & we can sort out some PM's for the details.

Final Report – we have lift-off !! Tested the fob out over the weekend its works exactly the same as the existing Fob. In total with post, packing & VAT, it was just over £160 but set against the hassle of a fob packing up/installing a new system, it’s a result. I had the code for mine, but they can do it from a working fob as well. There seems to be lots of different answers to what alarms are fitted but they tell me that the alarms that these codes are for are Gemini 3000/4000 units 1991-97. So if your TVR falls into that category, there is a definite way of replacing the fob !
If anybody wants details of where to get this sorted, pls PM me. If you don’t hear anything pls leave a post as my PM’s have failed to reach me recently.
