Never really looked at mini's before but was told to drive this one by the md of the garage who knew I thought there was something missing from my m135i, absolutely loved it and managed to strike a deal!

It's just my type of car, tho a lot of my friends dislike it due to harsh ride, no back seats etc etc. It's raw, harsh and loves being grabbed by the scruff of the neck. It's everything my m135i wasn't despite being technically better on paper. Differences over the standard jcw include full coil overs, kumho track tyres, 330mm 6 pot brakes and a little more power and a few other random things.

Never done a track day before but went out for 2 quick sessions on sunday past with the trackskills crew. Was fantastic fun and the mini soaked it up all in it's stride, brakes never showed any sign of fade and the tyres just seemed to grip better the hotter they got. Really great morning out and would love to do it again.

Very nice indeed and although I didn't like the wheels at first they look great in the last picture. Not so sure about the steering wheel though. There's fat and sporty then there's chunky and obese wink.

Nice, we had one putting out 240bhp on a rolling road day a couple of months ago!

Those tyres are meant to be good, but my god they wear FAST!

There are plenty of reports of them being way more bhp than mini claim! Btw, with regards to the tyres I don't think they do. I scrubbed mine off at spa (a very abrasive surface) but they stood up better than the 888s on the Megane r26.r, the key thing is to watch your tyre pressures as if they're slightly too high they destroy the centre section.

Mine are still (just) legal at over 6500 miles

Should have mentioned your thread was a big part in the purchase.....wouldn't have even thought of a test drive otherwise.....

Keep thinking of trading my RS4 for one, better mpg, space in the back for the occasional dog trip when not using my wife's disco. Very tempting!!!

My standard S came out pretty healthy too, though there was a JCW with 211 written on the wings, don't think he got much last 200... Upset he was hehe

I can't remember what mileage the GP2 had done, but I think it must have been about 6. I'd consider that fairly fast wearing?!

Wonderful looking car, as far as current production goes nobody makes anything like it. I'm sure it hasn't even crossed your mind but I bet these will be very collectible in years to come much like the R53 GP!

Great looking cars, the dash seems very busy to me and those alloys are goppingly ugly, aside from that I love it

I'm not a fan of the alloys on their own, but they work on the car in that colour scheme. Very nice OP!

I think the wheels would probably look better if they were just black without the diamond cutting.

Fantastic car all the same, congrats to the OP

I have the R53 version and my alloys are the originals but in all black

Think they look way better without the diamond cut!
