Cheers shnozz ... have been advised by a friend and have just completed all the claims forms .... how laborious is that !!

I have a stiff neck and back, but nothing major, just gets a little tired. Nothing I would go to the GP for, but you always think about the people who just stretch the whole thing out and make it into something it never was .... as long as I get back the additional expenses I incur, incl. the patch repair for holiday, travel etc then I'm happy.

Sometimes it hurts a bit to take the high moral ground when other people are saying, just tell 'em it's real bad and take some time off work. Couldn't do it, the insurance premiums I pay now are enough, not without defrauding the system !!

Thanks for the offer, if I do get stuck I will drop you a line. Should get together soon for a pie and pint etc ...

no worries mate. be good to catch up. lets get the silly season out the way and sort it out for a weekend early new year or something.

re the claim, even though you are being "good" by not milking them and seeking compensation for the injury, dont expect that to influence the other party's insurers who are likely to still fight every loss you claim with a passion...
