I'm putting my car up for sale. Nooo this isn't an ad. To do so, I thought it would be fun to make a nice video of it.

It took me a day to clean the car and do the filming and then half a day playing around with the editing in final cut pro.

I'm quite pleased with the result. I know its not perfect, but was done quite quickly using an old Canon HG10 hi-def camcorder.

Long term I'd like to get some commentary in there, use a DSLR for the filming, make some of the shots wider etc but for now just honing the skill set. Which is very much amateur!

First go at a car video

Cool video smile

Pretty damn good application i think. I created a video using FCPX at the start of the year, found that it was an exceptionally easy application to get into despite its power!

Heres my attempt at a promo video:

Nice! I like the transitions, which did you use? Also, looks like you added a filter? Did you have any special microphones set-up?

Nah no microphones other than the built in one, i've spent some money on a new external mic to improve the quite honestly bad audio that the gopro gives.

I cant remember the transitions i used but i applied the 'protune' filter in the gopro studio application.

I'm doing a storyboard for the next video which is track based - i'll look at posting the transition name etc up when i get my head back into FCXP biggrin
