Remote Control shoes

This is pretty random as 3rd posts go but to cut a long story short, I'd like to make some remote control shoes. For work. Sort of..

What would be the best way of doing this? Could I use those Heely shoes with the wheel in them already and hook a motor up to them? But then some form of steering would be needed...

Or would it be better to get a smaller R/C car, cut the sole out of a shoe and then find some subtle way of mounting the car inside the shoe with the wheels protruding from the sole enough to make it drive?

Or any other ideas?

I would think Heeleys would be a nightmare to get drive to.

Thick sole, bushed axle through it, drive wheel on the axle and then a motor on a natty ankle bracelet? Or modify something like these bad boys:

I would have though there were far easier ways for you to kill yourself or someone else though...

And no they don't need to be worn or be able to move anything other than their own weight. Just think of a remote control car... but a shoe!

probably easier to find a small remote controlled car, remove the body and re-cover it with a shoe
