Oh well after 152,000 miles of trouble free motoring I can't complain really 
How was that for a guess lol.
DMF probably didn't help things but for some reason, we seem to sell those starters like hotcakes (I'm a scrappy BTW), selling them faster than we can get them in. I reckon it's just a bad design. The Transit uses the same starter too and for some reason, they just seem to eat them.
