Have got my eye on a 2012 CLS63 with all options except the Performance Package unfortunately.

Normal CLS63 is 525bhp and 0-60mph in 4.4
CLS63 with PP is 557bhp and 0-60 in 3.8/3.9?

This link.......
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-CLS63-M157-Stag...

and....
http://www.renntechmercedes.com/www/node/566

Claim to boost the CLS63 to around 669bhp and 0-60mph in 3.4 ... crikey.

Any experience/truth in this? 3.4 in a four seater with massage seats and 12 speakers seems like heaven to me for around £2k upgrade...?

In reality it will just spin the wheels.
You would need to fit Mickey Thompson drag [street radials] to achieve anything sub 3.8 sec.

Autocar tested the CLS63 PP and could only manage 0-60 in 5.3!!

Mark.

Gulzar. I know you're a cash-sensible kind of guy but surely a man of your caliber doesn't need to be concerning about sub-spec second hand Mercs. Can't you just spec one to your exact requirements?

Love all your previous work btw.

90% of the time I prefer to buy used! This merc was £104k and am able to buy it at less than half price 50k after 1 year and only 8k miles from main dealer! Cant get much better than that! Only thing me being me and all just wished it had the PP package but am trying to see if I can still get those stats if not better with an upgrade to ECU etc....!

Hi Gulzar,
Do a search for Eurocharged. They are a very well established MB Tuner especially in the States. This year they have flown over from the US to carry out remaps and mods on various AMG Mercedes cars. At the last tuning day held at MSL in Birmingham, they remapped a CL63 and it went from around 570bhp to 660bhp. They offer their maps through a few companies in England, MSL as mentioned, PCS and Rebellion. I am sure the other mainstream tuning houses can do this also, but can recommend the maps from Eurocharged.

Might be worth checking the AMG section on MBClubUK forum.

Hope this helps,

Jules

Forgot to mention PCD...

Have a look at this video where I think the CL63 is towards the end.....achieving the highest output of the day...
