Headlight and Wash Wipe Switch
Discussion
Over the last few weeks I have been trying to find an exact match to replace my headlight switch which is faulty. It seems that there is quite a few different variations that Ford fitted to the Sierra. Originally I thought that the switch had shorted out due to the rear of the switch having signs of melting, but I am now thinking that it may have been heated up and bent over to prevent it from rubbing on the dash because I have found a match but the wiper and headlight switch are further apart causing it to hit the dash. Has anybody had any experience of this?
Hi, I replaced both stalks on my S2 using a pair from a old Sierra at a scrappy. The light stalk does touch the dash when in the "headlights on" position, i.e fully up.
The stalks are from the older Sierras. The later ones had the horn in the middle of the steering wheel, so the stalk was different. I found this out after buying my car which had a stalk replaced for the m.o.t. It took a few days for me to realise that there was not horn, the muppets at the garage had fitted a later version.
