Just noticed - Peeling dashboard.
Discussion
Gave the car a bit of a spin today for the first time in about 2 weeks which was nice. Looked at part of the dashboard and the wooden laminate was comming away.
It is the thin strip near the stereo that seems to be peeling.
Has anyone experienced this?
Is this the begining of the end for this dashboard or is it repairable?
If so, is there a kind of glue that does this?
Chimpy.
Frankly from my experience once it has started cracking the end is nigh! Its a tip of the iceberg affair; the backing plate behind the crack will have started rusting and it will be progressively delaminating. A couple of cracks on mine turned out to be large sections of veneer only held in place by the dash surrounds, these sections literally fell off when the dash was removed.

Sorry Malcom, I had promised pics of my finished dash - which is excellent - but I haven't quite finished it yet! Some warning lights are missing so I have not posted any pics yet. I haven't forgotten!
To everyone else - LCC have been recommended many times (and not just by me), and for good reason; they do a top quality job for reasonable money. Recommended.

My car (94 4 litre) is the same - cracked on both panels. Want to avoid taking the dash apart so am planning to use super glue.
Like the wood dash as opposed to carbon fibre, aluminium so if i make a balls of it i guess i will need a new wood dash.
Has anyone ever covered their dash in leather? matching colour of course - Just a thought.
Well I'm changed now:
The old one is not in the best of nick though.
The offside of the radio panel is faded and the offside of the main panel has some scratches (which I reckon could be polished out). The radio panel also has a chip on the nearside edge, but that might not show when in a car.
