Milllbrook driving day
Discussion
Just completed the Most excellent day at Milllbrook. Found all kinds of new boundaries and crossed them, driving will never be the same again! I loved the Alpine course, but got the most satisfaction from the handling course once I had it nailed and was able to get round right on the limit. And what a limit! I loved the V12V. First impression on leaving works for Millbrook was that it was a bit of a hard ride, but it really came into its own when pushed . All in all a great day which I would recommend to anyone no matter how well you think you can drive.
The recent Northants hoon taught me two things:
1. I have a lot to learn about how to drive my car, and
2. It probably goes a little faster without Mrs M in the passenger seat.
How to deal with point 2 is up for further discussion, but I have just booked onto the Millbrook PDC in a DB9V on November 18th, which should help with point 1.

Great day out....why do you think I bought a DBS.....by far the best Aston to drive.....
Not on a handling course it is not
Girly tyres a longer body, more roll and that adaptive suspension does not make it as good as a V12V IMHO. As a car that you can waft through continents AND drive quickly when the mood takes, I would agree it is a good compromise. Certainly a prettier car also

By far the most PDCs done are for DB9 owners I was told. So Graham, you should have a fantastic time. Having been on the equivalent of the PDC few years ago in a DB9 coupe, they are capable of far more than many might think

Wonder what they say to the DBS customers. "Oh you don't want to be buying this cumbersome piece of s
t, go get yourself a V12V"
How uncanny, you guessed
t, go get yourself a V12V"

I suspect they say to DBS owners if you really wanted the best handing Aston then you should have bought one rather than a grand tourer
