He has a point if you look at the pure stats/results but IMO it is somewhat skewed by the fact that from 08' onwards the car was being developed by MS more towards Massa's style than Kimi's.
Interesting that Alonso feels the need to start the mind games and trying to assert no 1 status so early on; kind of suggests he has zero hope of going to Mclaren or elsewhere as has been hinted at by some people.

.Fernando will work himself up into a frothing fury trying to reduce Kimi to nothing with political manoeuvres.
Kimi won't care, or probably even notice and then drive the car as fast as Fernando. I just hope his motivation doesn't disappear in a cloud of motorboat races, ice cream and vodka.

t about other drivers why people have such a regard for him I have no idea he been in top cars most of his carer only had 2 titles with a car that was found to be illegal and that was 8 years ago.

I have a feeling this storey was taken out if context and believe that FA has a lot of respect for Kimi. Until half way through 2014 when Kimi is settled and starts pushing/beating him.
I think (this is just my opinion and I accept others will disagree and I'm no fanboy of any driver) that in 2007 no one could disagree that Alonso was a more accomplished driver than his rookie team mate. He had it all. But he blew it, for reasons that are not really all that clear, apart from it being attitude. It would seem he could work himself into a lather over something that he really should have been mature enough to put behind him.
I also think (repeat above) that good as Raikk is, he is the slower driver of the two. But the intriguing thing is that this pairing is intriguing. It would be a brave man who would bet a substantial amount on the outcome. (But I bet they'd mention it on here.)

This. To reiterate what i've said on the GP thread, can anyone actually point to what Alonso has said and tell me how it comes across as mind games?It's Benson being a prick flinging out his usual verbal diarrhea and trying to get some attention for his articles.
I doubt that Kimi will respond and that will screw Alonso's mind more than if Kimi did respond.
The trouble is that PR people etc. like a constant stream of stories to catch headlines and make F1 appear more exciting. As long they can keep a F1 story in the headlines it lessens the chance that people will look at other motorsport.
