AM silvers.

Was just looking at some Astons in the different shades of silver/grey namely,Tungsten,meteorite and hammerhead really cant tell the difference so what is your opinion on these colours? Oh, and one picture what grey it is i do not know.

There easy to maintain and don't show the dirt or paint swirls etc which is a major plus but the colour is not very exciting.

Tungsten if you ask me, but possibly Hammerhead. Its definitely not Meteorite (my last V12V was that) and I don't think its Quantum either as that's very similar to Meteorite.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I know it's not Meteorite, as my car is Meteorite. I meant that Quantum is a darker Meteorite.

It's either Titanium (like mine) or I'm a donkey's doodah. Which is a dangerous thing to say around these parts. It's my favourite because its hue changes when influenced by its surroundings - and much more than other colours IMO. Maybe down to all those sparkly mirrors. I don't want a shouty or 'exciting' colour for my AM.

Also, like others have said, it's easier to own.

It's Hammerhead. Metallic but very small flakes, looks wet when clean and hides the dirt well. I've had Titanium and meteorite and HH is my fav

C-B, the above car is Hammerhead Silver for sure.
I used to be unsure on the 'silvers' when I first started my register but after looking at thousands of photos over the last couple of years I'm now quite proficient!

I would grade the silver/greys as follows:-
Titanium - this one looks silver.
Lightning silver - like titanium but with pale blue in it.
Hammerhead silver - the lightest of the greys.
Tungsten - this look 'metal' colour, like steel, midway between silver and grey.
Meteorite - the first of the darker greys and the hardest to identify.
Quantum - sometimes looks black and is a dark grey.
Ceramic Grey - the first named Grey and as such isn't silver! This is like quantum but is much more sparkly/speckled. Looks black under certain lighting.

Mako blue - the best colour :-D

It really sparkles and lightens in sunlight.

Rare - In the UK, there are only a few V8V, and not any V12V.
However, if you are specifying a new car, you can choose anything.

Saw a new DB9 volante in Buckingham green with winter wheat interior at works on Wednesday, it did look good .
There are many greys, in isolation they look good, but when we all get together, I concede it could look a bit bland.

You missed off Sarthe Silver - only available for a very short time on DB9. Similar to Hammerhead with a hint if red. Great colour

The Le Mans winning colour.

Oh by the way, the car was offered for £20 million a while ago.
I don't know whether it found a new owner.
Sometimes these transactions are kept very quiet.

Apologies Graham but I was focusing on v12v silvers. Although I did miss out the rarer casino Royale, Grigio Ferrari and skyfall silvers.
