I have a 2011 RRS with 20 inch wheels and setting off on a trip to France tomorrow. I am curious about the vehicle height details from the owners manual which are as follows:

Overall height:
- Access height 1739 (68.5)
- Standard height 1789 (70.4)
- Off-road height 1844 (72.6)

I realise that I can lock it at access height and still be clear but my question is do all the above heights increase by 1 inch because of the wheels or does the air suspension somehow compensate for the wheel size and settle the vehicle at the levels shown in the owners manual?

Reason for asking is that I know for sure one of the car parks I have to use has a height limit of 1.8m and if you add an inch for the larger wheels it would take it above that limit at standard height.

Although the rims might be 1" wider, the side walls of the tyres will be shorter. Therefore, the overall height difference will be negligable.

Thanks, makes sense, I will stop worrying about it.

If you're very concerned then you can buy tools to manually control the height.

I have an IID Tool which allows me to set the suspension however I want (along with general diagnostic tools etc).

By way of feedback it turns out the height was no problem in any of the underground car parks in Lille. I should have been more concerned about getting it into a parking space clearly designed for much smaller cars in the one at Grand Place, I shoehorned it in eventually eek
