Bought the Saab as I wanted something a little roomier than my old Saxo with a decent amount of power and interior comfort due to my designation as driver for our trip from Essex down to Devon.

For the last 5 months and 3 thousand miles it has been faultless (Unless I top it up with Tesco 95 RON fuel, this tends to get the engine light on for the next 3 engine starts). By far the most comfortable car I have driven, I think I could easily fall asleep at the wheel with the right conditions.

My only real gripe with the car is the rather noticeable turbo lag, that and the fact 30 miles per gallon seems unattainable on all but the longest of trips. I seem to average around 27-28 most of the time, which for a car this size I guess is fairly good.

Wheels could do with a refurb at some point and there are the usual chips and imperfections throughout the car (Happily most of them aren't noticeable unless you're poring over the paintwork for hours on end, not that I do that of course).

Very nice. I like these, was going to get one myself. Fast estate cars are something I find very cool personally, and these are very unassuming.

Any plans for it in terms of upgrades?

Will need a new exhaust at some point as the skin is peeling off the back box currently. Probably has a while left in it yet, but when it goes I think a noisier replacement will be in order.

Maptun remap would be nice as would a set of coilovers and uprated brakes, however I'm focusing on financing my house for the time being so will stay standard for the foreseeable future.

If you check UKSaabs, and some other Saab forums, there's a chap who goes by the username of "Saabnoob" who comes very highly praised from just about everyone on the forums. He does remaps for a lot less than Maptun/Abbott Racing, with the same results. About £80 ish I think?
