Just had to replace a cooling fan that had failed on the Griff, so thought I'd mention what I've found.

Original fans are Spal, 12" / 305mm, pull, with TVR part number K0072, later replaced by K0084. These map to several different SPAL models, being: VA01-AP6-36A, VA10-AP6-47A, VA10-AP70/LL-47A.

Any of these may now be replaced with SPAL VA01-AP70/LL-36A.

This new model has better flow, draws less current, and is supposed to be more durable.

IMHO

Specification - http://www.spalautomotive.com/eng/products/view_ax...

I bought from here - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPAL-COOLING-FAN-331-12V...

Yes, it is a Polish distributer, and yes, I happen to live to Poland, but no I've no connection to them. The price was good, they were well packed and delivered promptly.

I recently bought my 5 blade spal fan from this site. It's the cheapest I have found.

The correct one is the second one down on the drop down list. it was £98 but had just gone up to £105. Probably due to me posting the link up in the alternative parts list on here a couple of days ago!

I think the "LL" part of the code refers to long life, meaning the motors are of a higher spec than previous models.

If anyone looks at the above link make sure you buy the 12v unit rather than the 24v unit - the 12v one is a few quid more expensive...
