Hair transplant? a small insight.

A subject a lot of bald men think about but take no action, well my brother did.
as someone who had head a good set of hair, and within a few years has been called a 'slaphead' as years went by so did his self esteem. so he looking into wigs etc., but nothing was permanent and really looking, and a few companies that supply the toupee which sticks on your head via a surgical glue, was either too expensive or a hassle to clean and maintain.
After extensive research he found a doctor in India, before he took his trip he spoke to the doctor via Skype and speaking to others in the U.K (mostly Indian), sharing picture's, and results that could better his current state of hair, he took the plunge sent the deposit set the date, and headed to India within a few weeks. total payment was under £4000 if you were wondering, cheaper than what Rooney has supposedly paid.
after a tense meeting with the doctor it was agreed that he will require a certain thousand grafts of hairs which equate to, circa 10000? hairs maybe more, most will be taken from the back of the and some will be taken from the body hair, and beard.
After the treatment which was a one and a half day experience, he was asked to rest. he felt no pain just numbness in the head.
right now after 5 months I can see real hair growth and its getting thicker month by month and I measured the length of some of the hairs and its a few inches long, unbelievable for someone who had NO hair in that region. its supposed to take upto 18 months for all hairs to fully grow and have its own cycle, but his growth has been quite fast.. he had met another UK resident and they have kept in touch and his results are astonishing to say the least.
this is my experience I wanted to share with you all, no please if you going to reply be sensible about it, hair loss is not something to laugh or joke about, its a very sensitive subject for me, and I will also be looking forward to my hair transplant soon.

I think with going bald you have to man up and make the decision to shave it all of - no 'i'm not going quietly' business.
I am going rey - and quite frnakly i think i would rather be bald than grey so i might make the jump soon - i dont actually midn being bald though.

I used propecia and minixodil for a while and then just decided to forget it and shaved off my hair. I look quite good still 
With regards to the hair transplant, what you have to remember is that you are still going to lose hair where you (he) currently has it. So you really need to combine the transplant with one of the drugs mentioned above. A friend of mine had it done (in Greece) and it worked, but 5 years on he now has a 'monks patch' where that hair fell out ...

Given the choice, obviously I'd prefer to have kept my hair. But as I get older I'm less bothered about it. What always amuses me is the scenario when a bald man leaves work on a Friday and turns up on Monday with a full head of hair!!!

Mine started going aged 24 (now 38). I'm not exactly enamoured with it but hey ho, it's just part of who I am. If I suddenly appeared with a full head of hair, I'd be such a laughing stock among friends, I'd never live it down.
Anyway, Jason Statham does okay as do many others. Go grade one, catch some sun and concentrate in other things. If losing your hair worries you so much, get a sex change.

Great post and more power to ya.Rooney's was £40,000, but on a show on C4 about how not to grow old (it was Wednesdays at 9) a chap had it done for £9000, he looked good too. Same people.

They are permanent. Rooney has issues because he is young and going bald fast. The stuff that fell out was the stuff that was there first and genetically fixed to fall out. The transplanted hair from the side of his head will stay with him till death, it's genetically fixed to do so.Pretty sure Rooney is one is his second one already after a top up over the summer.
