A lot for a Targa 964.. You could buy a good one and have £60,000 to spend on it.

Nice try by using one word, "Singer", to associate it with a £3000,000 car.

This was parked up behind us at the Silverstone Classic in July. The guy spent loads on it and it was it's 1st outing since being built.All the body work is metal, no fibre glasss etc,and was very nicely finished. It's a 964 underneath I think. I wonder why he's selling? Seems a waste to build a special and then flog it straight away. I bet it cost more that £85k to build.

This car is better than mint,it's like new,clearly the guy has plenty of cash and has spared none in building this car. He did tell me that the Singer was the inspiration for the build, so yes, it's not a singer, but a nice car all the same.

You would have thought he'd have the insight to use a coupe rather than a targa. Understand that some people set-off on a journey for their ideal car with projects, but if there was a chance of it not being a keeper I'd have at least built something that would have has a wide appeal.

C2 based coupe in maritine blue would have been interesting.

Sure, the Targa body style is a bit left-field for some, but there's no doubting the quality of the work or the attention to detail.

Hmmm, maybe if he did a Chris Harris video to generate lots of on-line kudos, £85k might not look so daft…..

Having had a 964 targa (and still love the shape/versatility), and seen it at Hedingham, it looked stunning. Sounded good too. £85k is a lot of money whether targa, or coupe.

Seen this car and IMO it's a credit to its owner, but £85K is way to much.

As we all know what you spend on a car doesn't mean it's worth that money on resale....

Must say I do like it though..

Nice car. 964 Targas were circa £15k when this project started (seen the original car on website and to my mind its prettier than than the Singer inspired replica). I doubt it cost more than £25k on top to finish the project so total build cost lets say £40k-£50k.

I'd rather have a mint low miles 964 or 993 Carrera 2 coupe for £40k-£50k or a GT2 or GT3 RS for £85k. I think at £49,995 this car would have achance of selling but £85k just crazy for a wobbly targa.
