My R3 ready for Sunday Service

Thought I'd give my RX-8 R3 a wash before Sunday Service tomorrow.
It's not been washed for months, I am enjoying seeing the paintwork shine again!
I have to say, I'm really starting to quite like the '8 after despising it at first and regretting buying it.
That 10,000 RPM bounce is nice and with the MadzaSpeed exhaust it does sound absolutely insane - better than my RX-7 in fact, albeit missing the lovely turbo noises!
I was considering selling up and getting a Chimera or Monaro - but I'm not so sure now!

Yeah I think the R3 is a must, the bodykit transforms the car and takes attention away from some of the poorly designed panels.
Mines sitting a wee bit lower, with spacers.
Rear spats were added also, along with the MS exhaust and some neat hydraulic lifts for the bonnet lid!
Running to Rotary's is financially crippling - but worth every penny!

I think that the R3's changes have definitely helped out with the engine issues - even things like a more accessible dipstick is going to make a lot of people more likely to bother to check the oil levels.
Mainly, though, the giant red lights that let you know when the engine has been warmed up enough to turn off again (or to rev over 5k rpm) are very handy and will make such a big difference in engine life alone. It still isn't idiot proof, so I doubt an R3 will be much more reliable compared to the older ones to someone with no interest in looking after it,sadly.
