Resolved issue with Booster Seats in the back of a 911:
My wife and I have just got back into the #Porsche club since having children. Just after the purchase, we were faced with the age old problem how to get the kids "legally" and safely in the back. The car seats we had, fitted, but not very well. They also overshot the base of the seat as most car seats do. Being 6"2, this meant , if we wanted both kids in the back, I had to have the seat right forward to accommodate their legs. This created a very uncomfortable seating position.
We searched though various web sites, to which most are out dated. Plus searching online, but not coming up with much luck. We then started to look at travel boosters. Most we're un-suitable. Until we came across the "Trunki BoostApak", at our local Waitrose. After a quick measurement, we purchased them and the fit was perfect. They fit right back into the base of the seat, allowing my 3yr and 5yr old more leg space, allowing me to push the drivers seat almost right back.
The booster seat, also doubles up as a back pack. Now when we go out for a meal etc, we have a comfortable drive, plus whip the seats out which hold the drinks and colour in sets etc. Such a simple and easy idea.
Couple of draw backs, your child needs to weight over 15kgs. Plus I advise purchasing the seat belt pad to stop any neck chaffing from the seat belt. Which your probably going to get with any booster seat any way.

Just looking into options for my 2 1/2 year old, he's 19kg and wears 3-4 year old clothing so he's a big lad for his age.
Currently have the maxi cosy tobi in the back of my 997 but thinking I need to get something more comfortable and less bulky as to go out as a family results in 'er indoors having very little leg room

We went on the min 15kg law. Our 3yr old is 15.5kgs, and fits into it really well. And my 5yr old obviously has no problems either.Both kids love them, as they sit higher up, and have a clear view out the windows as well. If she can fit into it, you should have no problem with your little man. We paid £45 pound for them form Waitrose. Looking around, this seems to be the same price ever where. Seen them in the UK airports a bit cheaper if your passing through. Really worth the switch in my opinion.. Shouldn't be a problem. We have also used them in our Range Rover as I love them so much and they don't seem to make the seats like others do. Plus the kids don't warn to revert back to the other seats either. In the Range Rover, it's just a long bench seat really. Again no problems, so can't see it being any different for you. Hope this helps.for something less bulky.
