Just read this, its new out and is Stephan Kings sequel to The Shining.
The book chronicles Dan Torrence from the early eighties to present day, and it works well, there are bad guys and a battle at the end but I'm not going into details, the remains of the Overlook are also included.
This is a typical SK book which means the main character wil have a lot of issues, this book I feel will be enjoyed by SK fans but I wouldn't say its the best one to start with, but it is a worthy sequel, Danny is exactly how you remember him, if I'm honest I found the Shi.ing to be hard work, I may well rereread it though.
In conclusion its worth the price and is a good book, not the best he has done but he certainly hasn't messed it up, this will appeal more to SK fans but it is still a good stand alone book, took about two days for me to finish, that's says a lot about the quality of it.
