on the way home last night it was like trying to pilot appollo 13 home using the least electicity but hey i got us back home so i`ve don the checks the alternator is puting out 14volts the fuse under the car is ok but i`m only getting 11volts a the battery any ideas anyone

As a first stab I'd check & clean battery terminals. Check battery earth to chassis.

When you say the fusible link is OK, do you mean that you have 13.8v on both sides, or just that it looks mechanically OK? As far as I know that is connected directly to the battery, implying that you may have a wiring fault. But this seems much less likely than a duff alternator or broken fusible link.

wey hey fixed it,it was the fuse check this out it had broke so when you put the tester across it made contact and everthing was ok till i removed it to clean it and it fell apart dderrrrrr.but i now have the longest test leads going they reach all the way from the battery to the alternator.Oh well that means i`ll have to take for a drive just make sure
