Possibity of a DVD being made of BBWF
Discussion
Hi, i am new to Piston heads but i have been to a few BBWFs over the last few years and i own 3 280i Tasmins and as i love wedges i also own a TR7 V8 and am a member of the TR Drivers club, another member of this club John Clancy has made 2 DVDs about the TR7 and is interested in making a DVD of BBWF IN 2014/15 this would consist of interviews with owners of the various types of wedges at the show on the Saturday and maybe even Oliver Winterbottom if he is there and wants to speak, and lots of video of the cars during the day, i wonder if any wedge owner would be interested in this or what they think, also if John could contact the TVR Car Club and organizer of BBWF, is this Andy (Mr Tank)? if made the TR7 DVD for example is about 60min long and costs around £12.50 to buy.
Big undertaking but worth it! I made a fund raising DVD for a Bull Terrier rescue called Bullies in Need. That was 60 minutes running time. Keeping it interesting meant fast edits, interesting soundtrack plus mutliple camera angle (often footage from the same camera but with single linear audio track dubbed over to give the illusion of multi camera set up!). I collated everyone's footage I spent months and months of nights editing, photoshoping, animating menus, chaptering etc. but it was well worth it - raised over a grand for the rescue.
It's a great idea - go for it! If everyone who attends took HD footage and made it available to the editor that could really help.

Thanks for the support guys, i should say that although yes it will be a big project to do this guy has done around 7 or 8 DVDs mostly on Triumph cars before so he knows most of the problems, he has told me that it wont cost TVR Car Club anything but that he will need the support and effort from the club into promotion or selling the product, so i will need to contact them to see if they can do this, if you want to view his past work to see how good it is then you can if you go to www.triumphdvd.co.uk i hope that the club will be into promoting this as i am sure that if made it would be a very good dvd to watch for all wedge fans. Martin.

Hi just an update on a DVD of Big Bad Wedge Fest 2014/15, i have spoken by email to the 2014 organiser and passed his details on to John clancy and informed John what is needed by the organiser, so fingers crossed you could be seeing a DVD this year, should be very good if his other DVDs are anything to go by, martin.
I'd say a great idea.
I've just recently watched "Best of British - TVR" that was mostly based around a TVR gathering in Blackpool circa 1999, and if it is half as good as that would sell well.
Includes interviews with some owners (including the first outing of Pietro's SilverDove after its restoration?) and a bit of info on the "time line" and so on.
Always a market for this sort of thing and a good thing from a historic record point of view too.
I'd buy a copy, if the BBWF one gets made, Just hope I can be involved, as I can't get there till late (5pmish) on the Saturday.
