New member, long term petrol head..

Hi all, thought i'd introduce myself, hopefully in the right forum section!?
I'm Carl (Shakey to most), 30 (blimey, its the first time ive had to write that) from just between portsmouth and southampton and am massively into anything that makes my hands go white at the wheel and anything that sounds good in terms of audio/hifi..
Business, car audio company owner.
Pleasure, dad to a 9 week old daughter, lovely mrs, cars, handling, speed, composure, hifi, photography, food, car care.. All sorts.
Anyway, thought i'd sign up as for the first time in years i find myself car less, not two days ago me and a freind having a beer sat on the couch.. "here, i'll buy your car off you" and i said yes, lord knows why because i loved my second imola red M3 but i'm a sucker for "onwards and upwards" decisions...
So, my story at the moment is that of wich most petrol heads will most definitely understand.. The frantic internet searching, sleepless evening wondering what you should do... "Shall i get a beater and save more" "shall i get that slightly older rs4 because it has bi turbo" "do i like the new m3 in 4 door" "i dont need a four door her car does that!!" "why does the e60m5 scare the life out of me in terms of ownership"... As im sure you'll all be familiar....
Budget, circa 20k, shortlist at the moment is between a b7 rs4 saloon, an e92 m3, a 997 of some sort (911 is a bucket list car so needs to be done at some point) Or anything really that'll try its best to pull my lips off.
