Well, the king of bling is back with an all new model. A bit longer and wider than than the old model. I see a bit of Range Rover is the waist and roof lines personally.

Power comes from GM's new 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque through a 6 speed automatic gearbox.

Fuel economy is expected to be 20% better than the old model's 13mpg urban/18mpg extra urban (US) 15.6mpg urban/21.6 extra urban (UK)

The big question is... would you have one?

Makes no sense in this country due to its size.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to or even being able to drive that in a typical multi-storey carpark.

I have an odd feeling that it will not fit in a multi-story carpark or any other car space come to that.

Also, why do I keep humming The Simpsons Canyonero tune in my head hehe

American cars need to get some of their swagger back. If you live in Texas you can drive cars that aren't too convenient for Stoke Poges and why not.

did a quick check

Range Rover

Width: 81.6 in (2,073 mm )
Length: 196.8 in (4,999 mm)

Escalade

Width: 80.5 in (2,045 mm)
Length: 202.5 in (5,144 mm) SWB, 224.3 in (5,697 mm) LWB

So interestingly it seems the range rover is actually slightly wider than the Escalade

It's offensive, it's vulgar and it's almost unusable in the UK. But secretly I think I love it.

I couldn't swap 30 mpg for 21 and slightly more interior space with the intergalactic mileage we put through the Q7.

It 'looks' too long for my liking.

Almost as if the back wheel is too far away from the front and then the overhang on the back of that looks even longer... Strange proportions in my eyes

That said, it does look like it could hold more 'cargo' than a RR

I'd have one if I lived in America and could afford one. In a heartbeat!

We had one for two weeks when in California on our honeymoon in 2010. It was amazing, and absolutely perfect for the road-trip.

This is probaly a bit to big for me and no need for the 7 seats. I would mind something smaller...GMC Yukon, Chevy Tahoe or a Ford Expedition

It's narrower than a FFRR.

Good research skyrover. I'm very surprised by the results.

It's an odd looking thing. It seems to have the back end of a Volvo estate from the 80s.

The current one looks OK but this just looks old and clumsy.

A trick the Escalade has that I have been surprised that RR haven't followed is that the rear space can be basically set out as a large and comfortable lounge/office space.

I'd get one if it was RHD and cost the same here as it does in the US.
