Morning all,

I was just wondering where or nearby in Edinburgh is well known and well priced for a cambelt/waterpump change on an Audi A3 1.9 TDI (05) I would probaly be looking to get a service done aswell so oil change + filters.

Any advice would be great.

I'd either use Autohaus in Edinburgh or Ecosse Automotive in Bo'ness if it were me.

Jack Walker on Turnhouse Road near the Maybury are pretty good, so are Autohaus.

I've also heard word that W-spoons may be worth avoiding. There's AVW in Gilmerton which is run by Keith and Watty who are both Audi master techs and do most of the work themselves.

Yeah I used AVW for my S4, it was them that highlighted what had not been done (but charged for) when I had work done by another Audi specialist.whistle

Haha, guess who...

I used to work with Keith & Watty, most honest guys I know in the whole of the motor trade.

Called Autohaus awaiting call back
Ecosse Automotive, just rang out
John Walker, rang out
AVW Gilmerton, rang out
Starperformance quoted - £634.00 (Cambelt, waterpump, service)

Feel the above is high, have had a quote almost half that. Will try the otherg guys later

Thanks for the input

make sure you are getting the pulleys and tensioners done as well. Not sure about the A3, but in the A4/6 its a front of car off job.
