Precis - the Alpine has been running since 1921, and it's only a month away!

Entry is paid for, accomodation booked - we're off again.

This is us flying the flag for the H68 class in 2009



And the Old BP in 2011 (we did over 1000 km with that broken rear spring)



Car, driver and navigator all pre-68 : the Fiat (or some of it) and driver ran it's first Alpine in 1974; I didn't start until the 80's

I'm glad you say "sense" of speed - she's no ball of fire, but with twin downdraft webers on the twincam, it feels fast enough. We mainly do endurance / navigation events, where outright speed is less important, and have a 100% finishing record so far : obviously not trying hard enough.

If you are interested, go for it. H68 is a fun class to run in, just don't buy an Escort - there are too many mega-dollar replicas being built, so someone will always be faster than you!

Just visited the website and noticed this is an Australian event. Must be weird doing an 'Alpine' event without snow and ice...


Good to see on the website a Torana XU1 - brings back teenage memories from my days there.

We have occasionally had snow, but never in November.
