Time to say good bye.....
Discussion
Well, I have now listed my much loved Aston in the classifieds..... Have come to the conclusion that walking past it every day, very rarely using is a very expensive driveway ornament...
I know that whoever buys my V8V will have a fantastic trouble free experience...
The only one time I can say I really really enjoyed the car was my whole day at Silverstone with a race instructor.. An amazing experience that I would recommend that every one does at some point....
So much so that I will allow myself a small track prepared weapon for summer fun etc...
I will miss the run outs and meets, have met some really nice people since owning the car...
Just have to sit and wait now for some interest...
oops Sorry....

Molly, you are right I will miss all the banter and everyone on here, I may change my name to
Mr Aston-non and just linger around ha ha ha And still no front number plate
Gettoff, I will be back one day, definitely no other Marque that interests me, so maybe in a couple of years a DB9 Volante
Bravo, had a few calls and 3 viewings... One guy seems keen but you never know....
The thing is its not like I am selling because I need to, so I am and will hold out for the price that I think the car is worth, after all I know that its one of the best kept cars and been looked after with no expense spared...That might even result in having the car still in the spring?? Who knows..

Good to let people know that. I think too many buyers assume everyone is desperate to sell and low ball offer. When I get round to advertising mine I've got now the V12V is here I'll be asking what I see as sensible money. If people take the piss I'll keep it til Spring.Think I'm just looking for an excuse to keep both really

People usually upgrade from the V8V to the V12V and you have both, like it
Burntout - I think you are right, wait for the right price on yours considering the mods/performance etc somebody will appreciate all that TLC

So Burntout, did you manage to sell your car ok?
Only had two viewings of mine so far and another party 'very interested' who hasn't called me back...

Thinking of withdrawing mine from sale until next year
Very slow as well.... I have heard that some serious interest has been taken by some one whilst my car was in at trinity having some more TLC.... But that is about as far as I have got... Will find out how interested he is next week...

Thing is, with my car because I have made some changes to it, it will limit the interest from your general buyer.... Although the car always only gets positive remarks...
Like you if it doesn't sell this side of Xmas, I will try again in the spring..

Well I hope things pick up, cos mine will be listed next week.... Just had it claybarred, and full inside and outside valet, and it looks absolutely stunning.... So fingers crossed
Best of luck!
Putting mine up shortly as well! Difficult to price as it's a higher than average mileage for a later car. I'm a bit out of the way as well which probably won't help.

Trouble is the condition is way better than the mileage would suggest (and better than most used cars in the dealers seem to be!
) but if no one comes to look at it then they won't know! Been offered bottom book by a couple of dealers so will give it a go on Pistonheads and see how I get on. Probably the wrong time of year to be selling, but if I've still got it in the Spring I won't be too upset!

I can vouch that this car is an absolute minted compared to some that I've seen and I've seen a lot. Why are you selling? Get rid of the fiat instead.....
If only! Unfortunately the Aston costs a tad more to run than the Fiat! As I won't be using it much over the coming months (I don't want to ruin all your handiwork by covering it with salt and grit!) thought I'd see if I could sell it. Probably won't succeed though!
