One of the original spiders on my Tamora is flat spotted and I am considering alternatives. Can anyone post pics of their car fitted with 18 inch alternatives? I like the look of the Jade R style, has anyone tried them?

They are the same as the wheels(Team dynamics)that Dom sells for the Sags but in 19"

Have a look on wheelbase as the are £538 on their 18" and come with the fitting kit I.e bolts and spigots

Makes more sense on a sag with its sharp angles. On curvy tvrs like our tamora I think they will look very aftermarket.
IMO the spiders soft as st as they are, look the best... its a very balanced look. Wheels on tvr should not draw too much attention... or on any car for that matter unless its pig ugly. IMO.

What color is your tam? Anthracite spiders look awesome on light colored tams.

I'm considering sp12 as replacements but even them I think are too fussy.

I know what you mean about the curviness of the spiders... My Tamora (with a T350 nose) is Red Bull blue and currently fitted with standard silver spiders. I also have a lovely Chimaera, which I am considering selling, which is a similar colour (Imperial blue) fitted with anthracite wheels so I may get whichever wheels I buy painted the same shade. Thanks for the link, I'm not keen on the SP12s (too fussy for me although my rally car has a very similar design) and now more confused than ever! Still keen to see a Tamora or T350 on 18 inch Jade Rs. I'll see if I can post some pics of my Tamora tonight and maybe someone can try photoshopping - sadly I have no technical ability whatsoever...

Thanks for the link, lots of choice - and lots of confusion! Now considering anthracite spiders, matt bronze Rotas or Jade Rs - all in 18 inch...

I really like the works wheels on the hhc silver sag, on the last page. I think they will suit the t cars very well.

Thanks, really interesting to see the T350 and Sagaris side by side, the roof of the T350 looks quite a bit higher - but maybe that's because it is a T350T? Are your wheels 19"? If so, is the ride and handling still ok?

The wheels are 18's but offsets slightly different noticeable that the fronts stick out a little more and a slight difference to the handling tramlines a little bit more than when I had the spiders on the car but with the crap roads that we now have nothing that would make me change back.

Thanks, do you think they are stronger than the spiders? Do they foul the arches at all? Do you recall where you bought them from?

I bought them off Laser Sag as he's a regular on here if he remembers I'm sure he will post the details, the tyres do occasionally rub but that's on the small compression dips when hitting them perhaps a little two fast as to whether they are any stronger that's hard to say I had managed to buckle two of my spiders but that was on some really bad potholes in the wet and dark touch wood that has not happened since. I prefer the look but again as with colours not to every ones taste I just think that the spider now looks a little dated.

Mine are a lot stronger than the Spiders, but a lot heavier. They don't foul at all on the Sag - they would on the Tamora.

I feel that they really help with the general ride of the car - no-one with the wheels disagrees with this (That I've heard of), but a lot of people on here can't believe it... HTH.

after seeing these

i bought a set for me

I have also been told by others who have fitted these, that the ride and handling has been improved over the spiders. I dont know if it is due to offset, having front and rear rims different from each other, but when these came up for sale fitted with new R1R, for less than the cost of a set of tyres, I jumped.

I think i purchased them from Wheelbase alloys but it was a good few years back now, the ones on Flying's T350 are the original Jade wheel not the R, they are the same specs but the spokes are more angular than the rounded ones on the 'R'.
They do seem to be stronger than spiders and from memory are around the same weight.
Whether wheels rub or not does seem dependant on the vagaries of a hand built body, some inner wheel arches seem to have less space than others on the same model.
