Yes, it shows the number of miles you have left to travel, over the amount of fuel you have in your car.
Pretty sure this is the right answer, shows you will have just under quarter of a tank left when you reach destination selected in the satnav.Edited by Dinh on Monday 14th October 23:43
Yes, it is definitely the fuel required to reach your destination, hence it only shows when you have a destination programmed into your nav. As you get closer to your destination, the blob gets closer to the zero marker.
If the blob is within your available range, you have enough fuel to complete your journey. If the blob is outside your range, you'll need fuel. In that example, you have a 200 mile range, but only need 90 miles of fuel to reach your destination.

That makes a lot of sense, clever car eh ?If the blob is within your available range, you have enough fuel to complete your journey. If the blob is outside your range, you'll need fuel. In that example, you have a 200 mile range, but only need 90 miles of fuel to reach your destination.

I admire your law-respecting 70mph
who says i was on the motorway? hehe
in the end the average mpg went upto 26.5 mpg over a 95 miles each way journey (on 95 ron)
i can`t believe how fast this car puts speed on from 40mph upwards. It`s mind bending, it does it faster than you can think about it

That's good to know.
So many features on these cars & not helped by the manual being somewhat on the light side. Following my 1st proper outing in mine later this week, i can see me asking a raft of questions (many stupid i'm sure).
Only car I've had in years where I feel the need to keep the manual in the car...So many features on these cars & not helped by the manual being somewhat on the light side. Following my 1st proper outing in mine later this week, i can see me asking a raft of questions (many stupid i'm sure).

Don't think this is what it means. Because in Sheffield today I sat navd Costco that was only 4 miles away. The marker was only a few mm off the empty mark and I had half a tank of juice. So it probably means the amount of fuel used of your total fuel left in the tank. In this case hardly nothingforest172 said:

You're both making exactly the same point - which is correct in both cases. The circle will always be in the position of the number of miles you have left to travel, I.e. It will get closer to zero as you reach your destination. Your fuel range will adjust depending on the overall mpg you're getting. Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
