This is hilarious! I think he must be looking at the wrong numbers on the speedo. You have to read it all, comedy gold.

You'd need the lamps down though.

What a tool. He's completely misrepresenting the car. I noticed that at the bottom of the ad' he's stated that its had to be relisted as apparently he was initially claiming it did 0-60 in 5 sec and had 200bhp!

Just to be clear, the Rev 4 NA made 169bhp, got to 60 in around 7.5sec and had a top speed of 137mph. Whilst I'd like to think that a potential buyer wouldn't be taken in by such claims I still think it's out of order.

Agreed! But to be honest, for those stupid enough to believe the figures (11 bids so far) probably deserve everything they get.

Does look a nice car to be fair. The advert is quite good if you ignore his gross over estimation of what performance the car is capable of hehe

The car looks ok as a cheap bit of fun.

But could anyone seriously hand money over to such a moron? I'd struggle to buy a Mars Bar from the seller.

Really? I'm seeing a seller with no feedback, who's name is 'bargain car sales' yet selling this privately (yea right) who spends the first few paragraphs bullstting about the cars capabilities, telling us how fast he's driven it, and how quick you can take corners. And not telling us any relevant info about the history of the car.

You believe stupid or uneducated people deserve misfortune or disapointment?

Not everybody is a car nerd.

Do it!! clap

If you dropped it out of a plane it would only do about 125mph. But previous owner said it glides well once up to speed.

Nothing to do with being a car nerd, just a tiny bit of research before buying applies. Same for any substantial purchase.

And he's conveniently lost the massive stack of receipts and service history.

Of course he has.

Crumbs - is this really what PH has become; a bunch of people who find slightly creative used car sellers and pick holes in their adverts? Shame on you all.

Who here hasn't had a slightly optimistic speedometer in their car? I certainly had when I was younger. He's wrong about the power output but - hey - please put your hand up if you have never made a mistake. Go on, do it. Anyone? Thought so.

It looks like a nice car with some decent photos and a reasonable description. Everyone has seen much, much worse adverts. Best of luck to the lad selling and I hope he gets a decent price for it.

Joking aside, the problem he's going to have though is that when the buyer collects, they're going to expect a car that does 0-60 in 6 seconds and can hit 170mph, with a loose promise of 200mph. Any seller is entitled to test this out and then refuse to buy it as it's not 'as advertised'.

The poor lad selling has a profile name implying he's a trader, and he's selling this as a private sale. Even if that was not the case the thread was not to pic holes in his ad in a nasty way, just a bit of harmless fun regarding the outrageous claims of performance.

Quite amusing that he has just gone from 0 to 1 feedback, and the other party had issues with him as a buyer. Good old ebay meaning the seller couldn't leave him negative feedback, but the comments say it all....
