Hole in oil hose from the oil cooler
Discussion
As the title says I have a small hole in the oil hose which comes out the top of the oil cooler. (Caused due to a front end accident) The hole is just at the point where the pipe comes through the inner wing into the engine bay.
Are these hoses repairable? Can I cut the part out and fit a connecting piece in place?
Where can I get a replacement?
I looked on powers site but can't find one for the Cerbera 4.5 Same with R.Green. It's not the one that connects between the filter and cooler it's the other one.
Thanks

They are a complete bar stool to get off
My oil cooler failed, had to strip, what seemed like most of the front end off the car to get to it & wrote off the lower hose trying to get it off
...
I had a new bottom hose made up by my local hydraulic hose supplier (Regent Hose & Hydraulics Ltd), who did an excellent job and were less that half the price of buying from any of the TVR specialists.
Good luck with it

I would take the cooler out via the air box.

Thanks for that guys.
Access to the oil cooler is not a problem as, due to an accident, the front is a little more exposed than usual lol
I have just replaced the cooler so hopefully the hose won't be much of an issue to get back off.
I have a place not far from me Abbey Hose hopefully they can repair it.
Where does the other end of the hose attach? I disappears somewhere around the front of the engine from what I can tell.

Did you use jubilee clips for this? I wouldn't have thought they would be tight enough but have seen other repairs on the web that have used them so maybe I'm wrong. Then

So if I choose to go this route It would be perfectly fine to cut the pipe where the hole is and join it together again with one of these and a couple of jubilee clips?

I am thinking this rather than chancing damaging my new cooler by removing the hose from it which I know i probably over tightened in the first place.

I had my oil cooler pipes repaired by Abbey Hose in Lakeside http://www.abbeyhose.co.uk/
They said they would take an hour to do but i had to leave them there so can't be sure on this.
They charged me £70 but said after that due to the hose they used it should have been nearer £100.

I think how much you have to take off largely depends on how much it all co-operates when you try to take it to bits, mine didn't, hence I had to strip the radiators out, in the process of which my aircon system, litteraly, disintegrated
I was very tempted by the chain saw at 1 point
