My hooters wont stop. Last night the hooters started going full blast whilst the S was in the garage.

The only way I could stop them was to unplug them.
They are the standard horns and now blow when reconnected, even though the ignition is off!!

The horn circuit is always live don't forget. So if a fault develops the ignition being off won't isolate it.

Sounds like either a wiring short, a duff switch or if they have a relay then the contact has stuck on which is probably the most likely.

Yep Kentish is spot on. In the V8S there is a relay and I assume the V6 is the same. If you unplug the relay and swop with another one and the problem is still there then you have a short to earth in the wire that runs from pin 86 of the relay socket to the horn push, or of course a sticky/damp/faulty horn push. If after swopping the relay the horns stay off you have a faulty relay.

I do love a good pair of hooters! They do draw a suprisingly large amount of current hence a relay is used.

I am either going mad or one of my posts was removed! It was perfectly legal, did anyone read it on 'more power V6.'
