Quality difference, Osnabruck v. Stuttgart built cars

The Porsche factory in Osnabruck has been making Boxsters and Caymans for about a year now. Stuttgart continues to make them as well.
Has anyone had any experience of there being quality differences from cars made in two different factory's.
It must be extremely difficult to start producing a product as complicated as a car and to mirror image the production tolerances and quality of a factory that has been making them for years, Stuttgart, and make a copy with the same quality in Osnabruck.
Where the car has been made is identified by the 11th digit of the VIN.
S is for Stuttgart and K is for Osnabruck.
My new Boxster was made in Osnabruck. As this is my first Porsche I have no previous reference. Having said that I do not have any problems with it yet and am very pleased with the build quality.

So long as the K is not for "Krappen-Werks" you will be ok 
Shouldn't worry though, I had a couple of Boxsters made in Uusikaupunki (whatever it was called) and both were fine.
Just because not made in Stuttgart (like all Panameras / Cayennes & now Macan), doesn't mean quality should be any worse....might even be better due to newer line and workers taking more care (initially) during assembly ??

If you saw the production line in action you wouldn't question the quality. It wouldn't be possible for the workers to assemble the cars differently or take more care over them. The line is broken down into 4 minutes jobs, each of which is done in the most relaxed way possible, it really is quite a chilled out factory.
One of the most impressive bits being the "marriage" where the complete drive train (except wheels) along with exhaust, suspension the lot meets the body. Quite an impressive four minutes!

With the level of automation, pre-assembly of sub components and Corporate identified management/strategies/QA etc, etc, it would be very difficult to put a facility together that didn't result in the same level of build, from one factory to another. The days of brown coated craftsmen, ruefully twiddling pencils as they contemplate the next part of the assembly process are long gone.

I had a factory tour in May and agree completely with this. The efficiency is staggering. One of the most impressive bits being the "marriage" where the complete drive train (except wheels) along with exhaust, suspension the lot meets the body. Quite an impressive four minutes!

Agreed, but I bet sometimes being the new site has advantages. All new fit out etc. I bet the Stuttgart guys were asking why the Onsabruck noobs were getting all the spanky new kit.
