Time for a drive around herts and beds?!?!
Discussion
Dave Oggs (Oggs on here) used to organise runs like these. Don't know if he'd restart them or not. Weather's a bit hit and miss at the moment so not the best time of year to start one.
Pete (Sticky 3) has also been introducing a run out at a monthly meet at the Flying Horse in Clophill, but these won't be happening over winter and will restart next year

Used to organise drives via PH but nowadays via our Facebook community which numbers 100+ drivers, many of whom are based in this area.
During the season there are usually 2-3 drives organised per month, often to PH Sunday Services, as well as longer runs to the coast and the odd Europe/Wales/Scotland tour.
If you are interested, drop me a PM.

Second the above, the 507 is a belter.

You can turn it into a fun loop as well. Start in Baldock and follow through to Buntingford and turn round at the r'bout. Where you would normally turn left at the junction to go back to Baldock on the A507, continue straight and the road alternates between tight & twisty and fast sweepers. When you hit the A505, head towards Baldock and you get a short tunnel blast before taking the second, third & third exits at the roundabouts before doing it all again Dave

Hopefully this link works

It's also possible to link up many other routes that go down the A10 and incorporate tunnel runs, 'rally roads' in Herts and Beds from this route so it can be the starting point for an epic morning blast

You can also continue heading east at the end of the A507 (straight across at the A10) roundabout and then you're into a whole rats nest of good B-roads around the Herts/Essex border. It's quite tight and twisty, but there are plenty of roads that are sufficiently wide and well sighted to be driving enthusiastically. Head towards Thaxted/Saffron Walden type area and you can't go wrong.
