MP4 Clip editing

Hi, I have an MP4 clip about 9 mins long (2.1gb) taken on the Gopro. I can't get it to load in Gopro studio 2.0 or Windows Moviemaker as it is a bit corrupted at the start (first 20secs). When I play it on any media player, you have to jump ahead of the dodgy bit manually and then it plays no problem. I'm sure if I could "cut out" the initial part of the clip it would edit no problem, but how do I do this if it won't load onto any editing software? Hope some clever person out there can help me out

Mp4Tools should let you split it at a defined point without re-encoding. Then just throw away the corrupt bit and edit the other
