WCF seem to think so:

Personally I think they're adding 2 and 2 and getting 46, but it's always fun to speculate...

Have you seen the TV programme about building McLaren MP4 cars (shown again this week)?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KTATXWICKU

A very fascinating insight, into building carbon fibre tubs. They can now be built (if you know how) in a mere fraction of the time, that it took to build the McLaren F1 tub. That seems to be the main reason why the MP4, costs so much less than the F1 did.

Perhaps this form of car construction will gradually become more widespread.

Tip for Aston Martin. Don't give your next chassis structure a name. You will then avoid the 'VH is old' comments.

Reason for my query is I have a feeling it would be circa £200K plus
So Aston would be in Ferrari / Lambo price territory, not a wise move IMO ,if it is meant to appeal to their current core customer.
Aston sits, for the most part,in the Porsche price area and should remain so.

If it is true and I for one hope it is then let us hope that it will be the New Vantage. To date that has been their volume seller so the cost can be spread. If the new car could lose say 350Kgms combined with a healthy power and efficiency gain they would have a winner on their hands. I think that the basic styling with some Aston Martin magic could be brought right up to date.
Didn't think it would be long before Invest Industrial made their presence felt.

Automobile magazine have provided an update with Mclaren comfirming the parts are for the P1

I didnt think Aston was due to introduce anything radically new until 2016. But could be wrong about that
