xk8 high gearbox oil temp

light comes up couple times in a 70 mile drive, then clears code 0710, believe could be a sensor ??? cant find where its likely to be and if its a diy job any info would be a help. May be a wire fault ?? had a gear box rebuild about ten years ago no issue in gear changes tho thanks all

But if it's been cleared, how do you know what the code is?

when it last came up I plugged in my reader so got the code, I cleared it then, comes on sometimes then goes on its own. that's how I know the code. will give her few good runs to see if she settles herself down thanks for input

I know the older cars can have issues with a large connector on the side of the gearbox to the ECU. Could be similar causing an intermittent electrical issue?

went out this morning to start not enough in the battery !!! charged then started easy new battery on the way, hope this is the source of the issues believe a battery can be the root of many evils finger x it is that simple lol thanks will update next week
