... if you go a witch hunting around Pendle Hill....

Country File focussed on Pendle as it is Hallowe'en and trick and treaters will be ascending Pendle Hill - (you townies .... Pendle Hill, (Castlerigg Stone Circle - near us) in T Shirt and walking sandals )

But .... what is the safety concern - hypothermia? Safety on the ascent? On the plateau of Pendle in the dark?

The policeman on the programme said:

"We will be enforcing the 30 mph speed limit rigorously ......"

So ... you might die of cold, get lost on a hill above Clitheroe,.....but no worries .. the SpeedFinder General is around to keep your money safe in his scamera fund ....and tell you he is really saving your life

Sounds about reet!

May as well put up a sign

"Burglars welcome"

We pay tax but instead of being protected we are bloody persecuted by the very people we employ

So maybe the department whose remit is press liaison should have put up a spokesperson to talk about the dangers of trailing about the moors in the middle of the night for this piece, not one fixated with speed limits?
