I have just found out I have a pension pot of circa £65k that I didn’t know I had. I had been paying a fairly small amount since the 1980`s and got a call tonight from the guy who its sat with. I had originally set it up with Allied Dunbar who transferred it to Zurich some years ago. The guy who sold it to me died in the 90`s and this new guy took over but he has had a long term illness and is now retiring.
I am nearly 51 and have a final salary pension scheme my question is should I leave this alone, move it to company scheme, increase the payments (I don’t know if I can) or what are my options ?

I will probably see an IFA but just wanted some views

Thanks

Funny enough I had the same Allied Dunbar who transferred it to Zurich pension, I recently had a pensions overhaul and was advised to move it out of Zurich, but your advise may be different as I'm not near retirement. Great find though, you must be delighted!
