Do cats get colds?
Discussion
On wednesday i came home to find my cat hiding under the table and generally pretty lethargic with no appetite, lickiing her lips a lot which is a sign of nausea. I found a small amount of cat sick and a tiny furball, being a long haired tortie i thought she had fur balls and was expecting her to cough up a whole load more.
Yesterday she seemed to develop an occasional cough/sneeze and had a bit of a snotty nose which i cleaned up and has been fine since. She's got her appetite back and is generally a lot better today, moving about as normal and meowing/purring but still has the odd cough/sneeze, her meow's do sound a bit muffled just like a human voice during a cold.
So, do cats get colds/viruses? is it something to be concerend about or should i just keep an eye on her and see if it gets any worse?
