I've had my new car just over 2 weeks now and love it... yet i find myself trawling the classifieds most nights looking for my next car, albeit i don't imagine changing it for at least a year??

In-fact... from the age of 16 (10 years ago) i don't recall a period where i wasn't looking/dreaming/researching my next car confusedlaugh

Tell me i'm not alone in this obsession, PHers...

Yup, can't help it! In fact it bothers me when I can't decide what I want next.

Nope, definitely not alone. I'm currently driving the most fun car I've ever owned but still constantly browsing to see what I'm going to get next.

The only time I do this is when I'm bored of the car I have. I wont have even realised that I'm bored with it, but I know that once the classified browsing kicks off, there's little I can do to prevent the inevitable!

You're not alone. I trawl the classifieds on a daily basis looking for a bargain. Still not found an M135i for less than £24.5k though. frown

Give yourself an imaginary budget. Makes it 10 times more fun.

I was buying autotrader at the age of 12 to decide what car to buy with my inheritance from a recently deceased grandparent (classy?).

I've always done this and would have thought that I would have grown tired ot it by now (the wife has). I've lost the will a little, as 95% of my driving is commuting and I can't be bothered spending a lot on a motorway slogger. I sold my weekend car a while ago and don't have the cash or time to invest in keeping a second car on the road at present. However, I'm considering moving closer to work, so already I'm thinking that not doing so many miles gives me a bit more scope for a replacement daily driver - something a bit more fun. Oh no, here we go again!

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

But you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone

'Lone, 'lone
Why, 'lone

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
you are not alone

Whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that I'll be there
I'll be there

You are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone...
Not alone ohh
You are not alone
You are not alone
Say it again
You are not alone
You are not alone
Not alone, Not alone
If you just reach out for me girl
In the morning, in the evening
Not alone, not alone
You and me not alone
Oh together together
Not not being alone
Not not being alone

I tend to look for my next car for a few years down the line when I'm debt free (he says) and in a better paying job (fingers crossed)...as said, it's much more fun 'spending' £10-20k than 1k

Inheritance is of the upmost importance from any age. Its why I've convinced my parents to buy some buy to let properties for 'their' retirement that I'll do all the maintenance for wink

But back on track, I also browse the classifies daily even though I've got a 2 year lease
