Panasonic sound bar set up

My name is Donna and I am new to this site but just wondered if someone could give me a little help please?

I have a Tecknika television with no audio output. I have a humax machine, a dvd player and an external hardrive that I am trying to connect to a Panasonic sound bar. I have bought an HDMI switch. Am I right in saying that the humax and dvd will connect to the switch via HDMI, the external hardrive plugs into dvd via usb then the switch connects by HDMI to soundbar in and then HDMI out from soundbar to tv?

I bought a Panasonic Sound Bar last January. It needed an optical lead to connect with my TV. Hope that helps.
