cheapest alcohol thats ok
Discussion
Whats the cheapest alcohol youve had which was actually not too bad to drink, im thinking ciders/lagers etc, something you can add juice too if needs be.
Ive just discovered 4 x 440ml cans 5.3%
Of taurus dry cider which aldi sell.
For the 4 cans its £2.20 which is really good considering the percentage.
I can only drink it with blackcurrant but that hardly adds much to the cost.
Post yours.

Lidl sell a rosé Zinfandel wine for about £3 that tastes almost exactly like Gallo Zinfandel that costs £6.99 in our Morrisons and Tesco. I'm not a big rosé man but my wife likes it and I'll drink the odd glass if there's no white left!
Also I know it's not alcohol but Lidls own brand Diet Iron Brew is great, quite peppery.

Seriously why do this? Quality over quantity every time.
Drink something you like the taste of rather than what will just get you pissed. It's well worth the extra
Indeed. Life is too short for mediocrity if you can avoid it. (apologies for sounding like a pseud)Seriously why do this? Quality over quantity every time.

I hated beer a few years ago, but after trying some beer i cannot remember on holiday, in 35 degree heat, in an all inclusive place, i now like beer.
but I did like all of the Ringwood brewery stuff.
try some ale's like old thumper (ringwood brewery) much better and stronger when from the brewery, or some good beers like peroni or some good belgum beers.
try drinking a few bottles/cans/pints of quality beer without the blackcurrent (bet you have snakebite and black too, poof) and you will soon get a taste for it and like it for the taste rather than just getting you drunk.
how old are you btw? and dont lie, from what you have said, i say you are under 20, or even just started drinking alcohol.

A hotel I was in recently was getting rid of a load of wine that wasn't selling, picked up 6 bottles of the Faustino 1 for £5.98 a pop. An excellent way to get "battered" for a reasonable price.

Edit - I didn't drink all 6 that night, just the one!
Lucky bugger. The last time I paid a fiver for Faustino 1 was 1988.Edit - I didn't drink all 6 that night, just the one!

Westons cloudy scrumpy in the glass flagonis probably the best but cheapest and strongest I can think of. 2 litres and 7% abv for about a fiver.

Good cider that is, got some for later
Aldi sell a Belgium beer Sainte Etienne thats not too bad, around £3 for 4X440ml 4.8%
They also sell Bavaria for £1 for 500ml 5% bottle, very under rated Dutch lager that i have enjoyed in Amsterdam over the years
Thanks to the high Polish population we can now get there premium lager fairly easily over here, there are 2 off licenses in my home town that sell them for £1 per 500ml can. Most famous is Tyskie but Zywiec is my personal favorite and Lech is also nice.
There is a hell of alot of Polish beer out there so give it all a try, they do ale, lager, wheat beer etc and i personally think they are producing the best beer/lager in Europe at the moment
