Anyone else got their copy yet?

They have got a new Exige S2 long term test car in Krypton Green which looks absolutely gorgeous.

It's a good job I dont have a spare £30K burning a hole in my pocket at the moment as I dont think I could decide whether to have that colour or Chrome Orange.

There are also some quiter nice Italian cars in it as well.

Couldnt agree more Boggy. I loved the part in the article where he said "if your going to buy a silly car make sure you get it in a silly colour"

I think seeing a Chrome Orange Murcielago and a Banana Yellow T350C at VMAX on Sunday had affected me.

Had a nice ride in an Esprit there and hit 153.

The Esprit was firly low down the list.

I hit 160, The Lambo hit 181, assorted 996 Turbos hit 185, a Merc SL65 AMG hit 187 and a Ruf Turbo hit 189

Sort of puts the Elises straight line speed into perspective.

I managed about 118mph at Bruntingthorpe on Sunday in the elise - was only about half way down the runway!

It was taking for ever compared to the 170+mph runs in the porsches so backed off bored

Was fun on the twisties though.

I had a good at your Elise parked up at the side. Would have come and said hello if I knew who you were and taken you for a lap in the 456. Top day.

Slightly off-topic but I did 130+ in a Caterham Superlight R400 the other weekend.

Unbelievable car. The accelleration was neck-snappingly brutal at all speeds and I was staggered by the progress from 100 up.

The 456 looked like it was going nicely - am gutted i didn't introduce myself and blag a ride - i've always liked 456's - very understated yet very capable.

I have some good footage of the 456 on video - i was with MOD500 in the yellow 993TT. If i get a chance i'll post some clips from the day,

Rich

I would love to see the video. Post it to Ted to put up on Pistonheads TV.

I remember the run against MOD500. I got the edge off the start but he pulled me in about half way down the straight. Quick car.
