temporary / daily insurance options for 911?

Having sold my Boxster S and driving a VW Polo in the mean time, i'm trying to borrow a 996 Turbo Cab for the weekend (hi dad if you're reading this!) - previously we were both able to drive each others cars on our insurances but can't anymore so i'm looking for someone that does temporary / daily insurance and would cover the car for a 26 year old - any ideas?

Add it to your own, my insurance normally lets me do it for free for a day or so.
But I can also drive any other car 3rd party, but like you said a lot have now stopped this.

because i have the free insurance offer from VW after getting the Polo i'm not sure i'll be able to add another car but will call them to find out!

At 27/28 when I bought my 996T I was unable to buy day insurance to collect it, in fact neither could my old man. They wouldn't even quote us a price and we tried quite a few insurers

In the end we had to switch my main insurance over which caused all sorts of issues with my old car (I was still midway through selling)

Really think you'll struggle, I couldn't get short term cover for a 911 that was registered in my own name (I bought it before selling another car) had to garage the other car until sold and transfer the policy over.
