New S1 on the drive

woohoo! I'm back in the fold! This wasn't my plan, but after selling my first S1 there was a big void. The new one is nice, but not something I feel like needs to be taken to shows, which had become my new thing to do every weekend. It's got 50k miles, a very solid chassis, a recent paint job, new hood by me (yes, I need to re tension the window). The interior is blue and white vinyl, which is ok for now. It doesn't need much, just some targa seals and an exhaust leak repair, then I will drive it as much as possible.

Did you ship it from Oz?

I'm sure it's gonna give a lot of pleasure, looks really good, I love the colour, how about sharing a pic of the interior?
Just wondered, did you have someone look it over before you purchased it?

Thanks guys! I'll take a pic of the interior when I take the roof down tomorrow (hopefully).

The importing is pretty stressful, and this time I didn't have anyone look at the car, so it was a bit of a gamble. The seller did give me pics of anything I asked for, so I knew what it looked like, but had to accept his word on all mechanical aspects. Though to be honest, these little cars can be fixed without huge outlay if they need stuff doing to them. I half hoped the engine would be rough so I could put a Mustang 302 in it. Maybe one day....

The tyres are Goodyear Eagle GT's, the only V rated tyre in the standard size that I can find over here. They are nice and grippy too. Shame they look a bit too modern.

Phillpot, thanks for the inversion treatment on the pics! I wish I knew what I'm doing wrong, but I think it's just an ipad/iPhone thing.

The roof is always in the boot when I leave the house, but sometimes it's on when I return.
