Tim , thanks for testing My data logger gadget , would you like the data ? I can email it to you via your profile. The fastest lap time seems to change depending on where I position the start/finish line but all pretty close.
Cheers

The lap time will change if you move the start finish line, shouldnt be by much but it will change.

not sure which logger your using but on the DL1 I load in the data, build the track map and it overlays from google maps. i then zoom into the start finish straight and align the lap marker with the line on the circuit.

I then add my sectors and save the track map.

then everytime i look at data from that circuit I use the same track file..

cheers matey. really enjoyed the race, bit boring to watch the middle but the start and 5 or so laps at the end till i had fuel starvation were pretty awsome.
some good fair battling with everyone.

Hi Graham, yes I think I can overlay onto google maps too , but not got round to it yet.

This is the gadget , http://www.qstarz.com/Products/GPS%20Products/BT-Q... , we taped it to the top of Tim's rollcage . Just glad You remembered to turn it on. Mat took it off after the race.

The software allows you to manually place upto 25 split points per lap ( if you really want to ) and works out all the best times and speeds etc. Gave Your best theoretical lap as 1:13.2 compared to the best real lap of 1:14.6 ish. ( all subject to the accuracy of the data of course )

Now when I take my Chim on a test day I will be able to see how slow I really am smile

Excellent videos Chaps.
The upside to spectating from the Dony Grandstand, is the noise of a TVR grid - i found it genuinely thrilling to watch , especially with the various drama's at the latter part of the race smokin.
